It's "Spook-a-Boo" Time

October 17, 2018

In a few weeks, it's Halloween time; one of the most celebrated holidays by both adults and children. A time to dress up in costume and let your silliness come out without the worries of being judged or feeling out of place. The only time eating sweets is excusable, even if you're on a diet. So, let's jump right into a heavenly discovery when someone brought these delicacies to work.

Zombee Donuts is located in Fullerton and offers a variety of specialty and vegan donuts.
Zombee Donuts is a specialy donut shop located in Fullerton. It offers delicious donuts that reflect specific themes throughout the year. Additionally, a very small selection of vegan donuts are available - nope, I've never tried them. Overall, the selection will satisfy your sweet tooth, but they do come with a hefty price tag. Yet, it is still worth trying at least once.

If driving to Fullerton seems far and inconvenient, then you have Krispy Kreme in Mission Viejo. They have a few variety of Halloween themed donuts, plus their classic selection that is simply delicious!

If Mission Viejo is still too far or you simply don't fancy Krispy Kreme, you can get some delicious donut classics at "DK's Donuts" located on Muirland Blvd. & El Toro Rd. behind the Carl's Jr. The donuts are fresh and in my opinion taste better than most donut shops within the area. Too bad the shop doesn't carry a larger variety, such as French Crullers...Yummy!

Anyways, this is not solely about donuts. On October 26th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at the Lake Forest Beach & Tennis Club, there will be "Monsters, Mummies & Margaritas" event for both adults and kids. Tickets are available for purchase, but you must do so by October 18th.

Guests should dress in costume for the contest, especially family/group costumes. Snacks will be served and make sure to bring your own pumpkin for carving. Also, beer, wine and margaritas will be served at the bar for those 21 years and older. This is sure to be a fun Halloween event for the family.

So, where does one go to get a Halloween costume, party decors and sweet treats in Lake Forest? Well, you have several options: Walmart, Target and Costume Castle. All of these stores are within 5-10 minutes from Lake Forest Shores. Each one has costumes suited for children and adults. No matter what you do on Halloween, it's always better with a costume!

Wishing all of you a magical Halloween & ghoulishly good time, but beware the creatures at night; they growl and bite on Halloween night!
